In some cases, it was beneficial to create camera enclosures and camera stands to secure, and hide the cameras. Also, at times we must adapt solar panels and external batteries to cams that do not come equipped with ports, etc. |

Here we see an old rusty drum being prepared as a secure and hidden camera enclosure to catch trespassers: |

In one experiment, A dummy camera is created and placed it in the barrel enclosure (pictured above) first in case trespassers identified the barrel. The decoy camera is a block of wood covered in camo tape with some fake parts mounted on it: |

Bushnell External Battery/Solar
panel modification.
This mod for an external battery allows
you to keep the warranty. Just hook up as shown and the solar panel
can be connected to the battery. The small gage wires with alligator clips
are just ran out the bottom and close the door. The battery in this case is
a 6V.

Note: "running the wires out and closing the door" could
leave space enough for insects to enter the camera and
cause damage, so be careful!
