I have seen a few connectors to use with an ipad/iphone to read an SD card. anyone use one of these to check pictures in the field? anyone know any good software or apps to use for trail cams on one of these?

Deeraddict, I was reading reviews that it takes forever to download pictures from an SD card to the iPhone. What has been your experience with downloading to your Ipod Touch?

It doesn't take too long..Maybe 30 seconds to download 100 pics? It works fine for me but the only thing is it shrinks the pictures a little bit on the screen..They're not too small, but it seems like they should fit the whole screen since it's that big. It might just be the specific app that I use; maybe if I used a different app it wouldn't shrink the pictures that much.

Do you still have the native ability to zoom in though?

Thanks, Deeraddict. 30 seconds to download 100 pictures is fine. Not sure what everyone is complaining about in the reviews in the app store.

I'm not exactly sure if you can zoom on the picture while your viewing it from the reader and SD. You can definitely zoom in on it once you save it to your pictures though. The picture is bigger once you save it to your pictures folder too. It's only small while your viewing it directly from the reader and card.

I was reading some reviews and just want to let everyone know to not buy the cheap off brand connectors, they give an error and do not work with Apple products. I went ahead and bought one from apple.com for about $30.

C.J. and others, are you using this with the iphone or ipad? I just purchased the iphone and was hoping this would work with it, but now I see the one from Apple doesn't support the iphone just the ipad. I am in great need of finding a way to view a sd card from the iphone as that was my whole reason for the purchase,to be able to take my phone to the stand with me and be able to view pics on stand, with one piece of equipment, and not having to have a phone and a picture viewer both with me.

I use mine in my ipod touch so it would probably work with your Iphone..It's the zoommediaplus one that was mentioned at the top.

C.J. were you able to try the Apple version in your iphone?

Has anybody else tried the zoommediaplus card reader in the iphone?

Thanks for any info on this. I've had my iphone for a week, and it is awesome, just need to be able to read sd cards.
