How long would a 12v lawn mower battery last on a d-40?

I ran some several years ago. They didn't seem to last any longer than an SLA battery. They were a pain to take in and out of my cam locations, even with a plastic carrying case with a handle I made. Also, they didn't have a very long service life. I guess it was because they aren't meant for deep cycling. I really think you're better off with an SLA.
