I have started the review. All I have at this time is the photos. As details come in or sample units I will continue the process.

I will post some preliminary photos to show how well XtendIR-B extends RC60 flash range and convert other red-glow IR cameras into invisible soon.

Do I remember reading that Johnny sent you a homebrew cam to test with this slave? I would love to see how they perform with the black flash slave.

I don't recall seeing a price on this model. How much more than the IR? :?:

Yes, the homebrew IR conversion is on its way. I only have the red flash Xtendir now. Phase I is to determine how it works togehter.

I will perform the regular tests as well as block the hombrew flash and use xtendir only. when I get a black flash xtendir I can repeat the tests.

I'm thinking that the xtend sensor doohicky is going to block most of the flash anyways, there's only a 1" hole in the case for the flash to get out as is.

I posted an update on this review. I now have a black flash XtendIR and it works. It is invisible. Flash range is good on red flash conversion. I must wait till I receive the shipping version before publishing any flash range tests as it is likely to improve.

Leaf River was able to get a XtendIR-B and perform some black flash testing with their IR-7ss camera which has a trigger port for external flash units as well as a switch to defeat the built in flash. On the review I have a write up about this interface and some sample photos taken by Leaf River using the two in combination. It is impressive. There is a new black flash camera on the market... The Leaf River IR-7ss (by way of Uway XtendIR-B) 8)
