This was my first time to try this recipe; it's very simple and taste great. :P
I think the next time I make this I'm going to use more meat and roll it into a size that would be about the same as half a hot dog.

1/2 pound ground venison
Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/3 package of dry onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2/3 cup Cheddar cheese
1 can Crescent rolls

1. Preheat oven to 375
2. In a medium size bowl mix 1/2 cup of cheese, 1/3 pack of soup mix, several dashes of Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and ground venison.
3. Unroll the Crescents. Place a rounded tablespoon of meat mixture at the wide end of the Crescent dough.
4. Wrap the meat with the Crescent dough.
5. Arrange meat filled Crescents on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Brush the tops of the dough with an egg wash. Simply whisk an egg in a bowl and add 1 tablespoon water to thin the wash mix.
7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the egg wash and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.

That looks good, I can see why you'd want to make them larger though. The sausage idea sounds yummy too.

I like the sausage idea! At first I thought Anthony meant link sausage, which would be good, but now I understand that he meant ground breakfast sausage...sounds great to me! :P
