Now that the new 2012 Bushnells are out was the wait worth it, or should I get a 2011 for a discounted price?

I am looking at getting a good Bushnell that has a flash that wor spook deer. I am looking for one in the $150-$200 range and know that you can get them for cheaper then listed. So what should model should I get, and should it be a 2011 or 2012?

It is hard not to jump at the new cameras when they first come out.I have to slap my fingers every year. However I have learned it is much better to wait untill I see what Anthony and Bill says on their reviews and then watch what happens thruout the first 6 to 10 month or so from forum users before I buy any.I have found that right now is the best time of the year to buy cameras.Last years models are selling at or below dealer cost all over as they are making room for the new models coming out.
You now pretty much know which models have trouble so you not only save another 12 to 15 dollers in shipping problem cams back along with whatever the cams have knocked off to move them. Most times you can save enough to buy a security box, python cable and a couple SD cards for the camera.Makes a big difference when you have to watch a budget.

Unless the new models coming out has some features that you really have to have and can afford it I would grab some of the old models that have proven themself.

Now that I said all that I have my eye on one of the new Uway models coming out I think I am gonna try just to cure my early cravings.

The 2012 models aren't out yet. Last I heard was late March to April.

I would get a 2011 model 466. They're on ebay at a couple vendors for $188. Some guys have snagged them for less($150 or so??) Lots of us have the 466, they are bushnells best so far. Buy the new model when the price comes down, after they've been reviewed. That's my 2 cents

Cool, that was my next question. Which one to get.

They said they have the new 2012 models on the website and didn't seem like there was anything earth shattering.

I am just looking for a great camera, for the best buck, and has a flash that won't scare deer. So your saying it's the 466?

the 466 is reliable it's your decision to go with the 2011 that's approved or take a chance and go with the newest 2012 model that no body has experience with yet. I would go with the 466 or the 466CG(camo)

What bluesman said except for the new Uway... And like someone else said the 466 seems to be a reliable low glow camera...

hedp, the uway blackflash cams so far seem unreliable, I was considering one earlier. I hope they get it together, I beleive they work well when they're working. I just checked(my daily fix) and the 466 is $186.50 on amazon. I'd definitly give our vendors a call, lots of happy members deal with them regularly.
