This is a short day vid with the sun shining. Tom turks are very colorful right? You be the judge of this vid quality.

On this set of short night vids the IR array is on the low setting, only 12 LED's lit. For reference the tree line across the pond is about 80 feet from the cam. I was surprised  at the illumination and will probably leave it at this setting.

Nice video.

As far as the color. The angle of the sun might have been messing with the color but a calm gobbler won't always be real colorful and he's obviously calm and feeding. Now if he was strutting I would expect some vivid blues and reds on his head.

Do you have any night pictures that you could post from this camera? I am very interested if these cameras trigger well and the night pictures are lit up as good as what I have seen so far on here. Last year's BTC, model 119436c had terrible illumination at night and the trigger was awful. We have been through many of them and have returned them to Bushnell, hoping they were just bad ones, but they return new ones and they are all the same way, pretty much useless cameras because of the poor trigger and dark night pics. My 2009 BTC's are great and still work like they did 3 years ago.

I'd be interested if anyone has night pics and could post them from the new 2012 model 119437 BTC's

thanks

It's the camera that's at fault not the turkey IMO. This pic was taken the previous day at about the same time of day with a $40 camera that was on another tree 8 feet in front of the 437. In fact in the 437 vid you can see this cam ahead and on the right. My point is the color in the 437 day vids and pics in the sun suck IMO. I just want folks to be aware of this before they make the buying decision. With all my other cams the more sunshine the better the color reproduction, but with the 437 the colors are washed out.

Welcome to the forum Whitetail addict, I would expect that your 436 would have the same trigger speed as your 09's. The trigger speed hasn't really changed much since 09, untill this year they are about .65 of a second.

Seems like the 2012 bushnells hate anything that are very bright, like on a sunny day. The over exposure on these cams are whats causing pics to be washed out. But on a cloudy day the pictures are brighter than last years cams so the over exposure is a positive on low light days.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Yeah, the trigger on the 2011's seem to be about the same as on my 2009's, but so many times the 2011's don't even trigger when they should be. There would be fresh tracks in the snow and no pictures taken. If the sensitivity was turned up, they would take pictures non stop.

thanks
