I moved the WGI S4 to another location around the otherside of the treestand 50 yards from the feeder trough. I posted the Stealth Cam Prowler XT in its location but looking 180 degrees the other way. I did so because a new mineral hole, Acorn Rage liquid on a huge rotted oak stump and a mock scrape are there. Its been visited and the Prowler has a excellent flash illumination and better distance than the WGI S models. The white acorns pictured are just some of the ones from atleast 25-30 huge mature oaks in this bottom pumping them out this year.

Never thought of it like that!
It just fit nicely and it does hold the cord that goes to the 6v battery behind that tree on the ground.
I'm not worried about _hitheads roaming around as our land is pretty much looked out for. I never have deer spooked from flashing cameras or ones mounted on the tree see the pics below! Watch out the deer are spooked by cameras, yeah right.

Then why are the deer looking at the camera? I would like to see the next pic in the series if the camera was fast enough to capture the deer running away.

Cliffs I only do videos which tell you the whole story . I cant tell you how many vids I have of deer sniffing the cam , staring at the cam from 2 feet away , seeing the IR's on from a distance and actually walking to the cam and stare at it while they munch . Sort of eating popcorn watching a movie . I do believe there is truth in SOME deer getting skittish or frantic over seeing the IR's , I have one doe in a nite vid bolt away franticaly to 60 feet away in a nite vid to only come back and stalk the camera in the next 8 vids like she is on some covert military mission LOL . She goes tree to tree playing peekaboo with the cam to in the end start munching brush in front of it . I can honestly say I have never had a deer , buck or doe , even big bucks avoid the cam . I had a very nice eight point last year see the IR's at nite and immediatly turn around and leave . The next nite he came back and walked into the screen , gave the IR's a glance for 5 seconds and then start munching his way around the acorn tree . never looked at the cam again . The worst reaction to the cam so far was a doe that spotted the cam during the day . She runs off and eventually but very cautiously staulked the cam . Afterwards and days later when the same doe would walk by day or nite , she always gave the cam the evil eye LOL . But still used the same trail anyway . She did not change her travel pattern to avoid the camera .
I am going to post a series of videos tonite that will prove the deer see the low glow Black Flash with no problem . Stay tuned .

I look at as the deer are investigative not spooked. Those same deer always came back again and again. I would think if I never saw anymore around that would hold true.
They might be forgetful and then all of a sudden remember once infront of it. I'll stick with my idea on my hunting area as it doesnt look like a concert with all the flash bulbs going off and keeping them on edge.
