No doubt about it...those aint right Did you email the Reconyx folks those pics?
I am sure they wouldnt tolerate that kind of pic.

It is reminiscence of the Pics I used to get on a buckeye Apollo I had. Just plain bad for that kinda money, and not indicative of the norm in my opinion.

You need to email them the pics and send it in for repair.

Yes I emailed them in twice and also talked to them on the phone . At first they were blaming the angle across the foodplot(sun) . I told them it could not be the camera is pointed northwest. I finally kind of pleaded for a RMA , and then they gave in . Not sure why it was so hard to get a RMA. Maybe because it has already been back to them once before ???

Thanks

Don

Odd, that they were reluctant. Just trying to rule out the obvious I guess. Kinda like being asked if your cord is plugged in when the TV wont turn on...LOL

Just tell em you had a few experts from chasingame.com compare thier pics to yours.
That's what I do....

These bad pics that you're getting, is it just since you put the camera in this location?

Most of the pictures from this camera have not been that great , but to be honest it got worse to me when I down loaded the software upgrade. It would be different if this was my first rodeo but I have built 6 homebrews 3 of which are IR cameras with slave flashes . I know Reconyx will never compare to homebrews but I know this PC800 is not right . It does not even compare to my old style Reconyx .

Thanks

Don

I have download the new software on all of my reconyx's and I have'nt noticed any changes yet. Now you have me getting a little worried. I hope its just your camera having trouble and not the software. Keep us posted on what they find out.

I downlaoded the latest firmware on all 3 of my HC600s over a month ago and have not noticed any problems at all.
Those are definately not normal quality pictures by any means. It is like the light metering is messed up.
Let us know how it gets resolved when you finnaly get it back.
