 Post subject: Test--550 Vs 560

I just placed my 560 in the woods for the first time. Initially I was going to pull a 550 and replace it with the 560. But with the recent sensing and delay questions about the 560, I left them both hanging on the same tree. They are pointed at different angles and different delay settings but it should give me an idea if my 560 is working as it should.

I placed my 560 where I park my truck and when I come home from work its dark. I have noticed that when I drive by it at 15ft (coming home from work) the ir does not glow, but when I get out of truck and do a walk test it works everytime. I think after so much time has passed it goes into standby or sleep mode. I have even got back in my truck and backed up just to see if for some reason it would not detect the heat from the truck, but it picks up my truck everytime once it wakes up...

My NT50B that I sent back would miss a lot of pics. I had it set on my ball goal facing a dead end street and it would get me leaving the driveway (90 feet long) but sometimes not coming back or sometimes just the opposite, coming back but not leaving.

Nope. I always back in and pull out so the cam is always looking at the rear of my vehicle.
