Wow you are giving us some great info tbone---great job!!!.
I've really been studying and comparing those night pics from both cams. Now this is just my opinion---I don't think the 476 is throwing any more light than the 466, look at the flash arc, it goes out about the same distance on both pics. I think Bushnell is just over exposing the 476 pics making them appear brighter. Check out the black (sky) parts of the night pics from both cams. The 466 black is darker and the 476 is more gray. I also think that is why the 476 day pics look over exposed. However that over exposure may work out well under heavy canopy as tbone stated. It will be interesting to see if Bushnell will try to fix all this with a firmware update.

I did what Sportsman said to do and i ran tests to make sure that the sd cards have the same write speed/times and yes they did. On 3 shot burst both cams crank all 3 pics out between 2 and 3 seconds. Here is a motion blur, trigger speed test.

I got the cams now in video mode on a 30 second delay, and 15 second video clips. Samples are coming tomorrow.

I just looked at the very first walk test pics at 15' i posted and looked at the walk test pics i just posted and  why such a difference in motion blur from both cams :?:

This would appear to support the suggestion that Bushnell's new "hyper night vision" is on all the time and is = to "hyper blurr vision". I did not get much blur in bright daytime pics with my 476 so I will wait to see more photos before I get to worried.

Keep up the good work tbone! I am very interested in seeing other comparison results as I only have one 476 so I do not want to judge them all by the one I have.

It does appear that the last walk tests i did that i am closer to the cam by about 5' so maybe that might explain the difference in motion blur. Even on walking deer there is barely any motion blur both day and night but i would like to see pics from the 476 of deer trotting.

Great info Tbone! Seeing both cams side-by-side is definitely interesting! My 476's have been in the woods for 5 weeks and will be pulled early next week. I've got one on a foodplot in pic mode and 2 on trails; one in pic mode and one in video for comparison. I'll post up some of each sometime next week. The trail cams are under a heavy canopy and foodplot is open so we'll see how washed out the pics are. IMO - the over-exposure would help help out in the dark woods and night-time shots. Daytime shots suffer, but how many of your pics of mature bucks are taken during mid-day? I've only got 2 pics in 5 years of running cams!

I don't know how you folks leave cameras out more than a week? I get so antsy to see what I have! I would also be pretty upset if I waited a month or more to find that I had forgot to turn it on, or the battery went dead etc. etc. etc.

Someone that is very busy with an active lifestyle will probably have less time to check there game cameras, there for will check there cams less because they are thinking about other things. Weekends is when most people check their game cams that's when most people are off work, but what if you have other things to deal with, then cam checks have to go to next weekend.

True True... I know I am retired most of the time but I still can hardly stand it! I know that where you live relative to where you place your cams makes difference as well. Number of cams out also an issue. But I would hate to spend days looking at a large collection of videos or pictures! Just sayin..

I used to check most of my cams on a weekly basis. Some every day. With the price of gas here on the island at $5 a gallon now I'm leaving them all out for 4 or 5 weeks between checks. I also want to see if I get better results by leaving them out for a month or more.

I set my cams 70-300 miles from home so I am pretty religious about not buying battery sucking cameras and it is really easy not to run check them every weekend

The old SG550 really blew my mind when it came out and not only could last more than 2 weeks, but could last 6+months!!!

As you can imagine I am not tempted by Stealth cams or any of the others that chew up the batteries on standby mode.

Anyway, I have had cams that I have not checked for 1 whole year!

Can anyone beat that without having lost or forgotten the cam :?: Heck tell me if you can beat that even if you did, probably a better story anyway

 Now THAT really blows my mind! I could not/would not handle a situation like that! I am not saying it is not right for you but it sure would never be right for me!

Checked the 2 cams today for Video comparing. After a 2 day soak the 466 blew the 476 away with 40 videos, 18 for the 476. The 466 clearly has a wider sensing range because I had 5 Vids of nothing in them, then a deer would walk into view or go out of view. The 476 had deer in view at every trigger. The 466 also sensed farther picking up thing the 476 never did. The daytime videos were very similar and did not see any washout from any cam. I didn't get many good nighttime videos to post I would always have 2 cameras on at the same time messing things up.
