That's about the shortest grass I have seen ouitside of a fairway on the golf course. I dont see any branches in any of those pics. It looks wide open to me. So I don't think adjusting the camera angle or trimming can be repeatedly used to address false triggers or poor flash performance on WGI cameras.

Though I must say, the flash on this particular model seems to be extremely solid in it's performance.

Have my Pulse 10X set on high sense over a dry water bed with almost no grass and hardly ever get a false trigger. The cam regularly senses animals out to 85 feet. Have it set on video. Thought I had 3 false triggers in a row the other night but wait----two mice chasing each other at about 15 feet in front of the cam at the very bottom of the frame.

is anyone having trouble with the batteries on the pulse 10x it seems that on one of mine the battery gets loose and runs down without many pictures. i thought the new setup was much better but i am still having trouble. wildgame guy if you are on the long winded screw holding the battery cover on needs to go. you are going to have to get a burst mode,my 15 sec. delay in a real life situation was almost 1 min. also it is nice to have a tripod insert but i would like to see one that you can actually use. i am losing confidence in this cam,it has a great pir but we are not looking for a golf course cam, we need it to sense fur. at least you can target critters at 60 to 90 feet and be able to tell what they are.motion blur has not been to nuch of a problem but its picture is not up to the quality of the ir8x. truly hazelvillebucks

hazelville I had to bend the + and - tabs up slightly on one of my batts so it would make a better connection with the contacts inside the cam. I like the new battery set up much better than the IR8X.

Slay, with a high sensitivity it can pick up anything within range. There is a tree on the near bank that could move in the wind and trigger it. A bug could fly by and continue on its way. The few pieces of tall grass on the near bank could move and set it off with a high sensitivity.

i was thinking of a wedge of some sort on the back of the battery to make it tight. it has to have a better battery set up than the ir-8.i think that the battery on this cam was not getting a good connection causing it to rundown. hopefully hazelvillebucks

I had a cam mounted on a 6 inch aspen on the edge of a field and the movement of the tree/camera with only moderate wind caused the cam to trigger...sometimes 20-25 pics a day of leaves falling and you could see the frame of the pics moved as well.

One of the two Pulse 10X cams I bought is getting returned. It is the one that on HIGH setting filled the card with moths flying in front of it. I switch the setting to MED and LOW and experimented at home. It still filled the card with mico movements (ie. leaves, sunlight brightness change).

The one Pulse 10X that isn't getting returned is working really well. Trigger time is awesome. Caught several yotes on the move dead center in the video. Battery life seems good too, thus far. Been out two weeks and still full bars.

That is strange that even with the lower settings it still triggered.

Batteries continue to discharge and run when there is a connection made. Batteries still drain when there isn't a connection made just much slower. Now whether that connection is strong or weak won't affect battery life but it will still continue to drain the batteries and affect performance.

Do not buy these cameras, wait until they get the bugs worked out..... I am on my 3rd 10x camera in 2 months. All for the same apparent problem. Camera takes excellent pictures during the day, but the 1st one took blurry pics at night with lines through it, 2nd one would take black pics at night, and 3rd one I just received Monday afternoon as a replacement from WGI took great pics the 1st night I set it out...however I haven't gotten a single night picture since (fresh tracks all around the feeder at night, but no pics). Unsure if it's a temperature problems or what (the only night pic it took was 64 degrees, but the last few nights it has been in the mid 30's). I really like their product though, so this isn't an attempt to slam them (I've had 2 ir4 cams for approx. 2 yeas and I couldn't ask for any better of a camera, bought this one because it was smaller and had more options.)

I am sorry that your cameras haven't been working for you. That is weird that your only problem was that it wouldn't take night pictures. Those temperatures are fine (the mid 30's is getting near the end of recommended temperature range). I would think that maybe the photocell wasn't working but that would affect no photos only blackouts.
