Can anyone tell me why the pics are so dark with this camera. This is over a corn pile that is about 10ft away and right in front of the deer but you can hardly see anything. The daytime pics are fine.

I'm having the same problem with the night pictures from my W4F. The effective flash range from this camera is between 2 and 3 feet. Also, I'm getting extremely blurry night pictures from the W4F. The Wildgame rep who frequents this site is aware of the problem and hopefully will provide us with a firmware update in the near future.

Those are terribly dark, even with no canopy looking over a field mine would illuminate up to about 25'. Either the batteries are way low in power or your camera has a problem.

I hate to be rude but that cam should not be worthy of being sold. I have another Wildgame that also fits that bill. I will never buy another Wildgame unless they can come up with a cam with a burst mode at least. JMO

I took my W4F out of my rotation yesterday. You guys all know how close my sets are. The camera is a great little camera. A picture taking machine. Reason I stopped using the camera was the night pictures. 99 percent of them were useless. I tried everything. New batteries. Yes, I tested every one before putting them in the camera. And I also used an external battery to no avail. Still received dark night pictures. I was getting excellent night pictures if the animal was 2-3 feet from the camera. Anything out beyond 3 feet, forget it.

Thanks for the answers I am going to take it back tomorrow and see if bass pro will stand behind it and let me return it. I would like to order one of Hunten GS35's or a Covert MP6. Any thoughts on which one might be the better of the two. tbone how you post a pic without having to use photobucket?

I used photobucket. U got the first part right by copying the image url. Now you select the Img icon and put the url between the
[img]your photobucket url[img]
should look like this

Well here is a few more pics I got off it today and haven't changed a thing. Don't know why these pics turned out so much better. But at least they are a lot better than the first ones we got off of it.

[WildGame Innovations]

Most of the time blackouts occur during transition times. Check the times that the photos are being taken. If it's just after sunset, the sensors may not have yet detected that it was dark enough for flash.
