Wondering how many of you guys are seeing bad motion blur with you blackouts (TC60 or XCam)? I have 4 cams and one seems to be much worse then the others but all are subject to motion issues ecspecially at night. Having used a lot of cuddebacks/moultries/reconyx in the past I don't remember having many issues but these primos cams sure seem to struggle with just a little bit of motion.

I'm not talking about deer sprinting through the detection zone but small movements like ear flickers and head bobbing. Trying to capture some of these bucks during this last month has been very trying as they are consistently on the move...

Do not have a blackout but, I've yet to see any commercial IR cam that does not produce motion blurr with any movement. I sure there are varying degrees from camera to camera, but I see it with all of them. I have a UWAY NT50B. When in pic mode I set it to a 3 shot burst. Atleast 1 pic of the 3 is almost always blurr free and often 2 are....very seldom are all three. Since it takes movement to trigger the camera, typically the first pic has by far the highest % of blurr. So...use at least 2 or 3 shot burst when in pic mode.

Agreed, I have them all set for 5 pic bursts and usually one or two of the pics are reasonable. This is also my first real experience with ir/blackflash (besides the reconyx which I have limited experience with) as my old cuddys and moultries are flash. Maybe I just need to establish what is acceptable and what is not, thanks for the thought Roscoe!!

When I check my NT50B...first thing I do is go through and delete all the blurry and blank pics, when in burst mode there are alway plenty of blanks. After doing that, I then look back at what I have left and think, "Hey, this camera takes nice IR pics at night." That's how I make it acceptable!

I would get real bad blurriness in my TC60BO when it is set to 60 leds but when I set it to 36 it seems much better, still a little blurry (which is unavoidable with ir) but it is acceptable. It was setup over an open food plot when I was getting the blury photos, perhaps it would behave differently on a trail.

Seems pretty reasonable to me!! I do believe these cams don't spook near as much as flash units. Little bit of a learning curve maybe...

I would be running them in video mode, they are low glow, not red blob so there is nothing to loose and no motion blur.

Don't you guys get tired of the video after awhile? I mean I like it in some situations some of the time, but have kinda grown tired of it.

I'm done with videos too for a while. Between rats, rabbits, cats, crows, squirrels and deer sniffing and hitting my cams, it ain't worth it.

I will never go back to pics unless the camera manufactors can eliminate motion blur. Plus I like the audio that some cams have with video's.

I keep the videos short - I do not watch every video - or view it completely to the end if it is a doe or other uninteresting critter.
I can use the Arrow or Delete key to move on to the next video (picasa)
I can put a star on the good ones and delet all the others

I recently switched one of my bushnell 466 from video to pic mode. But with a lot of buck action lately it would have been nice to have videos, but yes they are a pain to watch and the cams take more batteries in video mode.
