Bushnell and Scouting Assistant have worked together to provide a special version of Scouting Assistant called Field Scan Time Lapse. This software package is a free download for all 2011 Trophy Cam owners.

Here is the Trophy Cam product page on the Bushnell Website:
http://www.bushnell.com/products/trail- ... rophy-cam/

Here is the download page for the Field Scan Time Lapse product on Scouting Assistant website:
http://www.scoutingassistant.com/fieldscan

Note: I appreciate all who have already purchased Scouting Assistant and want to make the following clear. If you already own a license to the Scouting Assistant Time Lapse, then there is no need to download the Field Scan version. Scouting Assistant Time Lapse has many features not available in the Field Scan version.

Since many people have already purchased a 2011 Trophy Cam prior to the notices being placed in the retail box (starting in May), these buyers will not know that they are entitled to the software with a valid serial number. Please do everyone a favor and post this information on all the forums you visit so that those users will have a chance to download and use the software they are entitled to. Please link to this top so they can also read my note above about version features.

Field Scan time lapse is dedicated to performing Time Lapse processing on photo frames taken in time lapse mode and perfomring the motion searches.

Please let me know if you have any questions on this.

Should users wish to upgrade field Scan to the full version of Scouting Assistant Time Lapse please visit the following link to purchase an upgrade license key to unlock the full features:

So will I have to pay a fee like Moultrie has to view my pictures?

The pictures are already on whatever computer you download them to, so I'm not sure what you are asking here. The Field Scan version of the software is free with the purchase of the Bushnell Camera. If you want to upgrade the software to the Scouting Assistant Time Lapse version there is a small one time charge for the upgrade. It's something like $10 I think.

If you are talking about the program where the pics are transmitted by the Moultrie camera to a webserver that moultrie owns and then the user pays for a plan by how many pics they get sent/get to see??? What Anthony is talking about is nothing like that.

Hope that helped, if not, ask away!

Bill got some early samples from China and he has also purchased some but they are way back in the line for review. The pre production testing got everything fouled up and we have to finish and get things back in line.

What does this scouting assistant software do, that would be useful for either Bushnell cam owners or owners of non-Bushnell cams ?

Field Scan, like the full version of Scouting Assistant Time Lapse will import the photos from your sd card or allow you to open an existing folder and process all the photos contained within into a Time Lapse video that can be searched for motion and watched in a variable speed player.

You can also extract frame ranges as a seperate video that can be emailed or archived.

It is primarily used for processing your sets of time lapse photos pulled from the Trophy Cam in time lapse mode.

A Field Scan license is included free for owners of 2011 Trophy Cam (and future years as well).

If you have a 2011+ Trophy Cam, download the setup, install the software and launch it. On the Product REgistration screen, input your camera serial number in the serial number input. Fill out the screen and click register.

It can be used for other camera's photos as well yes.

I provide an upgrade license for users who wish to migrate their free Field Scan license to the full version of Time Lapse. An upgrade license key will unlock all the features with out having to reinstall or download again.

To purchase an upgrade for Bushnell Field Scan to the Full version, click here:

Anthony, I received my new 119466 from Cabelas on 7-8-11 and there was no notice about this in or on the package at all; only on Bushnells website. Of course I was already aware of it from CG  but, thought you might like to know.

Not all packages in 2011 will have a card in it unfortunately so tell everyone on all the other forums about it. In May cameras started shipping with a card in the retail box.

The free version is called Field Scan. Click here to download:

http://www.scoutingassistant.com/fieldscan

If you have your camera, you do not need any coupons or paper work. Just install and on the register input your camera's serial number. The serial # is on your camera and should start with the letter "B".

I can't download videos to the free field scan. Is it not made for that? I have a lot more videos stored from last year on my computer and I was trying to make a mini series where I could access all my big bucks at once. I am only getting pictures to download to the free one.

That is correct. The Field Scan version is not the full version. It will process time lapse photos into time lapse video with high speed playback, motion search and extract frame ranges as video.

If you want video processing, Movie production, etc... you need to upgrade to the full version for $15.

can someone explain to me how the motion search works. They way i understand is with say 1000 time lapse photos the motion search only picks the ones with motion or a deer.
