anybody planting millet around great lakes...I know the deer like it and turkeys too.
just wondering what strain is better for northern climate...I had planted red zone and the millet contained therein grew well but not sure what strain it was - it was shorter than what I planted last year - again not sure on the strain but it did not do as well. I want to order some for this year sooo - any help for me.

and for Roscoe or Gman - do those G. H. radishes do well in northern climates??? I know the "white icicles" grow like crazy here but they get hit hard by bugs and "french breakfast" as well but these stay pretty small(3-4 inch at biggest) and under soil forr most part.

I'm in VA, so I can't speak from personal experience, but guys up north grow radishes a lot. I have not heard of any specific issues other than you plant them earlier than in the south to give the tubers time to grow.
