Got this in the mail today. I set it up for 720p videos and took it, along with the BTC-8FHD-P to the woods. I should have some videos by tomorrow then I will set both for pictures. The smart video is off. I will post videos from both tomorrow.

I bought the 6HDE as well. Set it up in the house and tested. First Cam. It was about 14 to 16 ft from the target area. To me the day pictures and video looked good, pics at 10 and videos using low compression. The night pics looked good as well as there was no blur though I was moving with cam set to 4 rapid shot. The night videos looked grainy, at least to me, but some were better than others. I did try the Smart IR. Had the camera set for 2 min day videos with Smart. One video was 37 sec as I moved thru the zone, made some movements and then left the zone.

Have to find a trail and check out.

Pulled the card this morning. Here are some videos from the day, transition and night. The sound is not very good on this camera. I had to turn it way up to hear birds and the white noise is to much. I set the camera for picture and will post some tomorrow.

Nice Vids. I also reviewed your post for the 8FHDP. Also some nice vids.
Maybe it is just me and I'm not that experienced, but I noticed something a little different. In the past when reviewing this site and others for camera info, pics and videos taken with various No Glow cameras, it seemed the animals (especially deer) looked right at the camera. Some even went up to the camera. Maybe the camera was heard or wasn't pure No Glow. Animals have much greater sight and hearing than humans. I wonder which caused the animals to look. I didn't see the animals looking at either the 8FHDP or 6HDE. Maybe just my imagination.

Some cameras are more No Glow than others. They also may hear the filter move in some cameras. I put my Spartan GoCam on video while waiting on the 5 dollar Verizon deal. Every time it started a video the deer would look at it. I think it was making some kind of noise. Never checked to see because the videos were horrible and I bought them to take pictures.

Nice pics. hope I get the same quality. While some of mine were grainy and considering pitch black night shots, the camera seems to do the job. Glad I checked this site for info.

(Got to find a good trail around.)

Since I am a video guy I dont like the 6HD-e with the sound issues on the video. The 8FHD-P day video and sound is much better. If I were looking for pictures I would go with the 6HD but this is still to early. I am going to swap locations of the cameras and see how they work out. They were both in completly different settings so they should look different. Who knows the 8FHD may do better with something to reflect the light back.

Ok here are some pictures from the field after swapping spots. Im not impressed with the day or night pictures. But I don't do much picture taking. You be the Judge. We did have some rain and there may have been a little fog in the one day pic. Just realized it cut off my pictures. They all have something in them you will just have to click on the pic.

Here are some videos from this one. I have no reason to keep this camera. The pictures and videos are not that good and the almost nonexistence of sound wont work. Back to Bass pro in a few days.
