Today I ordered a Btc-8fhd px. Spec ops extreme. Got it from TCP. Best price I could find.

Ok I have some daytime stuff. It been either raining or foggy every night so it is hard to get anything decent. I have pics of me running past the 2017 camera and videos from the 2016 and 2017 model. I will post some night pics and videos as soon as I get a decent night. Forcast is more fog and rain.

I was doing at least 30 mph going past this so motion blurr is not an issue.
The videos with a name of Tim X is the new Extreme camera and the Tim P is last years platinum camera. I think the new one is better video with the 60 fps compaired to the 30 fps on the 2016. Also the sound is great on the new one.

Hey it doesn't sound like any ringing in this years model! Thanks for doing your reviews. Are you happy with the new spec ops extreme so far?

Happy so far but will need to see some night videos first. All we have been having is fog every night and overcast days. Rain the next two days. I am going to put them in the woods tomorrow and see what I get. I will pull the card on Friday. I am very happy they fixed the sound issue. That drove me crazy.

Here is a day picture of both the Platinum and Extreme set at 4 mp. It very clear the extreme is better. Photobucket does not do it justice.
Again the one with the name Tim 2 p is the platinum and one with Tim 1 X is the extreme. Both are set up on the same stick-n-pic. One right below the other. I have them both in the woods now on video hoping to get some night videos of deer, coons whatever. Forecast is rain. I will go tomorrow afternoon and swap cards hoping I got something decent to show. Eventually I will get some night pictures to share.

I have some night videos to share. I think it is better than last year but again it had just rained and I am not sure if the lens was completely dry. Anyway you can still see the grainy black flash normal. What is better is the sound and there is no adjustment flash in the middle of the videos. I also posted another day video. I just love the day videos. Again both cams are next to one another one facing north and the other facing west.
NIght time with the Extreme. The tree center the video is 66 ft from the camera. It took 43.6 mb of memory.

Night time with the Platinum. The tree directly behind the deer is 60 ft from the camera. It took 63.5 mb of memory.

Another day video to show off. It took 44.9 mb of memory.

I have them both out on picture duty at 4 mp 3 shot rapidfire. Hope to get some night pictures for those that want to see.

Ok I have some night pictures finally. I was blaming the bad pics on weather and that was an issue but here are some that weather should not have been an issue. I wonder if this camera has a issue in the middle of the frame. Looks like I have moisture on the lens and I'm sure it doesn't in these pics. May be just my camera???? I was going to do a final review at this point but I set it for video again to see what the night videos look like in this setting. The feeder is 36 ft from the cam. Day pictures still look real good. I would at this point say not a picture camera.

Here is what I am seeing with this camera.

Great day videos. Had to download Media Player Classic to play them.
Night video are decent but I have one more pull and a few comments after that pull on night videos.
Good sound quality ( no whine)
It takes 40 mbs for 20 second video day and night where the last years model took 60 mb per video. Still not great but better.
Has plenty of memory available with larger cards. I'm still using 16 and 32 GB Sandisk Extreme
No more flash on video at night.
Battery life seems to be about the same as last years. Still early on this one. Reading 78% now.
It has good day pictures but night pictures seem really bad to me. The center looks like it has moisture on the lens and it does not.
Not much if any motion blur during the day but it does have some at night.
Very fast video and picture triggers. Fast recovery time.
The sensor does appear to be much better. Not Bushnell good but better than last year.
Did not try the smart IR video mode. Might give it a shot next time out.
i may have to return this one because of the night pictures and videos. If the next pull on night videos has the moisture look in the center of the frame then I could have a bad one. I hope it is just mine, but I will wait on my next pull before calling TCP.
I will post more night videos next Monday or Tuesday when I go back out.

Things it still needs is password protection and a hybrid picture/video mode. While I'm asking it needs camo on the sides also.

Thanks for keeping us posted. I really liked my dark ops last fall, but I just had to return it because of terrible night vids & pictures. Hopefully this will improve since I liked the cameras functions, etc.
