I agre that it does match well. I can try it against pine and I think it would do well.

for me I think "6666" - most cams seen too dark too me 2 ¢

you feel that #666666 is too dark ? I believe I agree also. I feel #666666 is a minimum darkness.

I like the 4444444, honestly I would like something closer to black than light as I find it blends in with the dark spots on poplar and shadows nicely.

currently we are 90% away from making a final decision on the new color for a non-camo camera. see attached color swatch.

day late and dollar short in replying... i think whatever that color Camlockbox uses disappears well in a lot of places... could just because of the gray or black mottling stripe they put on it.
