I am on my 4th week and my new M-80 is working fine. I paid a whole $99.00 on sale at a Walmart on Jan 8th.
I like the great picture quality and 16:9 format.
I am using Energizer Lithium 4X batteries and the camera volt meter indicated 80% when I arrived.
There were also some -3 F degree photo's of Turkeys.
I think this camera will work fine for my plot watching efforts this summer

Here is a video of the last two week soak.

I purchased (2) 4 packs of Energizer Lithium 4 x batteries after a review on here that the 4 x are just as good or better then the 8 x.
Also purchased a (2) pack of 4 gig PYN cards - to use only in this camera.
My Primos, Uway and Moultrie are not sharing the same SD cards

2 m80 cams batteries died after 1562 pics in 3 weeks with alkaline batteries. Not exceptable for me. My bushnels have over 9000 pics and still humping along

Hi,

When I put 8 AA alkaline batteries in my 2009 Trophy cam the best I can get is 3 to 4 weeks. With Llithiums I get 6 months on the TC.

The M-80 instruction booklet says to use lithiums, so that is what I am using for this first test is 8 Lithiums. Think I paid $ 12.00 for 8
I will report on the life span and I am keeping the photos for a later count for a total.
The first night out I used a burst mode and decided to change that to a regular one photo per event. Got 300 photos the first night so that had too many repeats and the repeats seemed to affect battery life.

I have 20 some rechargable AA's and might try them once the Lithiums fail.

The Chasingame test this summer with Ray-o-Vacs reported -Quote:
(07-18-2011 update: Battery life test lasted 5-31 through 7 17 and gave us 5120 pictures.)

Salt- Purchased a 50 pound bag of water softener pellets and dumped a bucket on each stump.
The site is about three years old and the stumps have had many trophy rocks and at times Comerdeer (but not for a year. )
Around the stumps I planted clover barascus and rye grass last August.
So the deer are used to finding some goodies up on the hill.
