Hmmm....to me it looks like they have taken the M880 and turned it into a low glow black flash camera, yet boasting the same flash range. I see the PIR sensor is round. The lens is almost tear dropped shape.

Who knows, it may very well be a camera unto itself.
The camo looks nice also.

was it indeed a black flash camera?
Also need to know the flash range and the duration of the flash.
Sample pics are mandatory of course.....

Look at your Cabelas 2013 Archery catalog on page 93. It's called a Cabelas Exclusive and listed as the C-90i. Listed at $199 at Cabelas but sure looks the same to me...

bigten, I am looking forward to seeing your thoughts on this camera. It looks like we have 3) pairs of 8-AA mini-cams from Moultrie, depending on where you shop. Confusing.

From most places: M880 (Low Glow, LCD display, 8MP, $160) and M990i (BF, 2" Monitor, 10 MP, $200)
-seems like a refreshing and updating of the M80's, with the same sensor as before.

From Cabelas: C80 (Low Glow LCD display, 8MP, $160) and C90i (BF, 2" Monitor, 10MP, $200)

From Dicks Sporting Goods: MLB 800 (BF, LCD display, 8MP, $180) and M900i (BF, 2" Monitor, 10MP, $200)
-All of these use the new round sensor like the M333 and M555 and are cased similar to the M80's. These were released months later than the 880/990's were, which makes me wonder if they have other differences we haven't seen yet.

I bought a M880. It is NOT a low glow camera as advertised by Moultrie. It's a red blob camera with a bright red flash.

Depends on your definition of low glow... They apparently mean it to be a low glow comparing it to an incandescent flash camera. Then you have the Black Flash which is almost invisible except for inside of 10' for me. Different for different folks based on your eyes ability to see it. So again, they really aren't lying, but using the term loosely.

Nan this is a black flash camera. It can be seen to flash while holding it 1 ft from your face with the door [b]opened[b]. I would call it a black flash camera. With the door closed it is much less and would be difficult to see at ten feet if at all.Bones

Things are not going well here ether. I'll post 5 pictures which is about all I have! photobucket won't let me logon so when I figure out what I'm doing wrong I'll post them. I'm using 1 picture every 10 sec. I think. Shots are 2mp or med. again can't be sure of anything right now. Very brief yard testing seen it triggered every trip across in front of it out to 70ft. At 68 degrees. Also seemed to center me a lot like the 555i I messed with earlier in the year. Inside playing around you could hear the camera and filter but its really quiet. The filter is only heard once after being powered up and triggered and not every shot. I felt good about the quietness, the flash is low wink and I don't see it causing any problems either. The pictures show 4 night pictures. Flash range may be less than what I hoped for. But I may have not done the camera any favors with my setup. The rain this year has this place grown up like a jungle. And the camera should have been turned to the right more. I had removed some of the brush earlier but just missed the setup to the left. I think the 990 is the better camera. Wish I had more to go on. Looks like it's changing shutter speed only. I did have some transition shots at ISO 100 but day time seems to be 100 and night shots ISO 400 1/8 td seems to be where it wants to be.
