I would prefer it without the bracket and use a cam-loc box. BTW, what do they mean by 5mp upgradable to 8mp? Is it interpolated or a changable sensor? cmos or cdd? My I-40 has very clear color pics (at least the few I get) compared my Scoutguards and Trophy Cams. Why can't SG and TC use something like the Moultrie? Hopefully the Uway will be a quality sensor.

It sounds like that bark biter bit is an option so I am sure someone will make a lock box to fit it. From what I have read you buy the bark bit as an option.

I saw the specs listed somewhere and it showed two options. The mounting bracket and a car charger for the remote.

It's in the pdf specs that Anthony posted:

I prefer a security box myself, I have 2 for our 3 cameras, but where I use a camera the most up behind my parents house on the mountain it's basically secure as is, a place for a cable as this seems to have would be all it would have to have to be extra safe there. I use the security boxes for anywhere people might be.
Anyhow looking forward to enjoying this camera.

Even if theft is not an issue, I like the boxes for these little cams. Secure the box to the tree with a python. It makes checking the camera very easy w/o having to do the "camera alignment dance" when you are through.

Offering a 2 year warranty on a first year camera from a new manufacturer would be an awfully risky move for a distributor.

Truthfully, I don't think the "average" consumer will be swayed by the 1yr, 2yr warranty thing. I just think it's more of a big deal in our minds around here than it will be to the typical buyer.

I'll be interested to see their black-flash version.

I agree, the average consumer has no idea how bad the QC issues are in the low end of the market and is focused on capability and price only. That is why the industry has been able to get away without dealing with QC.

Thanks,

Jack
