I received an email from HCO today (10/02/2009) stating the following:

HCO claims that Gray Wolf Woolens is obtaining Cameras from somewhere other than HCO distribution channels. HCO states that the cameras are not shipped in the same box, have no HCO warranty card and no HCO Serial number nor HCO documentation.

HCO States that Gray Wolf Woolens is not an authorized HCO dealer and that these cameras will not have any warranty support from HCO.

The above statement came from directly from HCO.

Hi all this is Jeff at Gray Wolf.

Anthony's statement is false. It probably isn't his fault he is just relaying info presented to him from HCO.

I have never stated that I was an authorized hco dealer on my website even though we sold their cams for over a year.

The cameras we sold do have a complete 1 year warranty, warranty card etc. just as the HCO cameras. If any warranty issues arise you can return the camera to me for exchange. This is basically what I have done for the last year with HCO cameras. I sent out a replcement to the customer so they would not have to deal with HCO. They get their replacement and away they go with no hassles. This is still the case with the cameras we have recently sold as well.

I sent HCO a check for some cams in July, they cashed my check and I have yet to receive any cameras. Is this the type of company you want to deal with? I understand if the cams were not available but the check should not have been cashed until they were.

I had an opportunity to by some cameras to sell to my customers who were waiting so I did. I never thought it would lead to this. I never purposely mislead my customers. The cameras I sold do say Scoutguard on them, they just don't have HCO on them, which I never claimed they did.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Keep in mind I am just relaying what was told to me by HCO. The situation appears clear to me. HCO Stated that the cameras would not have an HCO warranty. Read a bit closer :D

If there was not one more "scoutguard" camera manufactured on the planet ever again, I would not shed a tear. A constant freakin soap opera!!!!

I just wanted to say that I purchased a SG550 from Gray Wolf Woolens and was very impressed with their Customer Service. I ordered my cam from them because they were listed on HCO's website as an authorised dealer.

This is a quote from Cindy at HCO when I was having problems with my SG550.

I received my camo SG550 wed. 12-17-08 from Gray Wolf Woolens (HCO authorized dealer)

I love this little camera but I'm having major problems.........

Cindy at HCO replied to me:

David,

This camera seems to be defective! Sorry about that!

Did you purchase from local store or the website? If local store, please go ahead and get a replacement in the store and kindly ask Jeff to call HCO if he has any questions. If from website, our warranty department will contact you within 24 hours for warranty service.

I'll take a log of this issue and hammer the QC guys!

Thanks,
Cindy

see: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=11809
for the full thread.

After this HCO dropped the ball big time on me
see: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=12097
but throughout the ordeal Jeff at Gray Wolf Woolens was constantly emailing me to confirm that I was being taken care of.

David

Glad they took good care of you! Are they listed as a dealer now?

He runs a top notch business and is not a scammer or a crook and I would definitly buy from them again. For the record I had never even heard of them before I ordered my SG550. I hope that some others that have puchased from GWW will chime in. It really bothers me to see an exceptional company like this get labeled as a ripoff.

David

If you will read my post carefully, I do not state anything negative about GWW, only that the PRODUCT is not an HCO product.

For what its worth, I got an update on this today from HCO. According to HCO A reimbursement check was sent to GWW. At the time there was a shortage of cameras and HCO could not ship.
