Now the work begins. They look prime too.
Our season starts Oct. 2nd. I have all my stands in place but the Deer are not being very cooperative. We have Acorns this year like I havn't seen for 25 years and they are having a field day with them.Moving the Acorns won't help this year. David

I've been thinking of trying out a Thermacell. Are they odorless and silent?

Trust me, this is one of the few products that does absolutely what it says it does!
I prefer to use it turkey hunting but have used it deer hunting. There is no odor that I can tell and it is absolutely silent.
The chemically treated mats will burn about 4 hours. It is powered by a butane cartridge that lasts about 12 hours. I seldom use more than one or two of the mats in a season as I only use it maybe 2 hours at a time. To turn it off, you just unscrew the butane cartridge.

Talk about a cheap way to stop skeeters! whether your hunting or sittin on the back porch havin a beer. :D

I hear they even have scented mats now for deer hunters.

I would check out thier website and read up on it.
It is some of the best money I ever spent.
