Not sure, probably reacting to the IR light.

Another one:

Here is an example of what I mean by the microphone being up too high on the camera. It is loud when I am opening the camera, so don't have your volume up too high.

I recieved word from the engineers in China plus a sample video with audio. The audio was nice and clear. I am not sure when the fix will be available but until that time the review will be on hold.

I just wanted to let you know that they are working on the audio noise problem.

Sounds good Anthony. The sensing on the camera so far does not seem to be nearly as "buggy" as the NTs (which I think are good cams too) and has been picking up deer at a distance. In contrast, two of my three NTs average about a hundred videos/pics each week of nothing on them and about 30 actual game pics. I need to switch the NX to pics next time I am out there. Overall I think it is going to be a solid camera once the static audio is fixed and a security feature is added.

I doubt they can or will change the mold in mid production. Your best bet will be to get the lock box.

One of the things with the NT50B is that the volume on videos is a little on the low side. It could be that they over compensated a bit with the NX.

I think you are right.

As for the python slot on the molding, hopefully they will incorporate it back in their next line of cameras. It looks like for now a screw and a modified bracket from Lowes may be a cheap way to secure it.

Just checked my camera, and had water pour out of the housing when I opened it. The SD card was even wet when I pulled it out from evaporation I'm assuming. We had a rain a few days ago. It looks like the water is coming in from the top of the housing that unlatches. This looks like a problem.

Wow! What a shame. Looks like they may have to change the mold after all.

Trailhunter, in the second pic under the sd card the seal does not appear to be in the channel.

Probably going to have to send this one back, especially with the water leaking issue. Just checked it and no pics, not even me. Only 3 videos were on it the last time before the rain when it got soaked. I think I had a total of 90 to 100 10 sec videos on these batteries.

I left it in the woods for another couple of days after the water incident and had no pics when I pulled it and blue light was on. The last pictures it took were during the rain from the last time I checked it. I sent it back, I can't deal with water issues again especially after having the internals exposed to that much moisture. I hate it about the camera as it looks like it has potential and really seemed to be catching a lot of movement with few false triggers.

I can tell you this though, I don't like the front face removable cover design that swings down from the top, along with the latches that secure it, even with a seal in place. Basically on mine it was bowing out slightly at the top of the cover creating a slight lip. It may just be a defect on my cam alone or it may go back to the housing design again, which I know is not going to change on this cam. Next time though, I would recommend putting the opening on the side like a leaf river design with a better seal, or change it back to the bottom of the camera like the Uway Nt's (Screen would be on the bottom of the cam though, which would be difficult to program), or at the very least incorporate some type of bulge or something above the channel where the water got in.
