One Halloween night a long time ago, a boyhood friend's father "wired up" his trash truck to keep would-be vandals off of it. Guess who got knocked on his butt the next morning, when he went to climb into the truck and start his route?

Tried camera out last night was getting ready to cover up lights ( sensing lights ) and noticed the 20 IR lights circling the lens lights up bright red while taking picture. Are all IR cameras like this and if so is this something that can be disabled ?
I assume this obviously can not be covered up.
You can cover the illumination array on a "red blob" camera and replace it with a "black flash" extender. Many of the members here are using the XtendIR-B from Uway for that purpose. <

Just don't cover up anything for the motion detector, or the day/night sensor. Those are located in different places on the various camera makes and models.

Looks like I might have to opt for the heavy dose of pepper spray or perhaps I might watch the old Rambo moves and fabricate some bamboo spike traps...........
Punji stakes; dang, that would discourage all but the most dedicated trespasser/thief, at least after they'd gotten into one.
