As central-european, I have tried to find some pages like chasingame (user-friendly forums with trail cam pics and vids, and possibility to comment them) with other-than-US users, but without much success. Here are couple I found:

Many trail cameramen from europe don´t know english enough, or prefer national website (as well as Americans prefer theirs), so I encourage every foreigner on this forum to present their national trail cam websites... I am pretty sure that there are many.

It's been long time since i wrote this forum (due hunting- and dogtraininseason),



but now you woke me up from hibernation.

I know some forums here in Finland to discuss about gamecameras, and even some topics how to build game camera or surveilancecamera from used mobilephones or webcams. (way too "hi-fi" for me)

BUT language is finnish, so its easy to miss them in english search or if you find them, hard to understand what writers are talking about or comment pictures without some language course.

Most of the game camera topics are under common hunting- or huntingdogforums and hard to find if you dont know keywords in local language.
Im sure that In Sweden they have their own forums and i bet norwegian and danish have also theirs.

Some gamecameratopics are active in winter, some dont, mainreason is how actual issue it is.
Where i live, we have now over 60 cm snow (about 2 ft), and yesterday it was -24 C (-11 F) outside, today only -14 C (7 F). Yesterday was exellent day to to wade across the rapid and pick stealthcam and wildview indoors to melt down. - No wonder if gamecameraforum discussions are kinda frozen now.
These cold winterdays are just perfect to think how to hack Ixus 110 IS - without breaking it.

I noticed American buck (Odocoileus virginianuson) one of the pics, is it common (let´s say, as much as Red deer) in Finland?

Hmm i think that Odocoileus virginianuson is very popular in south and south-west part of Finland. I assume that in US its called whitetail - correct me if im wrong. About ten years ago my hunting friend shot one badly wounded doe and ended its suffering. That one was attacked by wolverine and it just stood bleeding in icy river. That is the only one which I know lived over here, but they are spreading up north every year.

Red deers, like i have seen in your pics, does not live in Finland - they did try to settle it here too, but they didnt survive. Last one died around 1970.

Good info, I thought Red deer is common in Finland. Btw, I really like pics of wolverines, no chance I would ever get them here. I can get a lynx, moose, wolf or brown bear if very lucky, but no way a wolverine...

Well, im not sure i translated Red deer correct, but if you mean Red deer = Cervus elaphus, then it does not live here.
European Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) does live here, and its spreading from south to east and north aswell. Our speciality is Finnish forest reindeer (Rangifer tarandus fennicus) wich is wild form of reindeer.

Sounds like we have mostly same targets for game cameras, but only way for me to get wild boar pics to my cams is if one of them escapes from boar farms - or if i post my cams to Estonia.

You really have moose ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elch) there too? That is new info for me - but you cant hide from learnin new things every day.

We have "Alces alces", but extremely rarely... in NP Šumava in south, and ocassionally some wanders across the north border from Poland. But we got A LOT of wild boars . Roe deer, fallow deer, and red deer are also very common. Wolfes are only in NP Sumava and Beskydy mountains in very limited numbers (maybe 3-4 packs altogether), plus some bears in Beskydy. Lynx was successfully reintroduced, but there is poaching problem. We also have rare sightings of returning wildcat (Felis silvestris) in NP Podyji and Beskydy. Enviromental situation is getting better, but very slowly.

shame there are not webs like chasingame in every western country:-). Does anybody here run his own blog with trail cam pictures? (Pleeeaase no endless tests and "gear reviews":wink:)
