I am borrowing a Ntb for a 4 cam test. When I plug the remote in all I get is a black screen. What color should the light be when it's plugged into the camera? With no card in I get the warning saying no card but cant see a screen to adjust settings with card in. I have about an hour to get this all set up before I lose my window for the weekend. HELP!

Make sure you have the plug in the right way, it will go in both ways but it will only work one way. This has happen a few times with others. Hope this will help! :D

I think you need to have a card in for the remote to work

Thanks but thats not it. The person I borrowed from marked top side of both ends. Like I said, I can get the NO MEMORY CARD warning, SOMETIMES, but then nothing. REset with card in, it turns on, get backlight and a quick flash of a white screen then nothing but black screen.

Try putting your finger under the plug where it goes into the remote and pushing it up very gently. On of mine has this issue and when I do that it works.

Can you try another Sd Card? Format it in your computer.

Turned remote on first, tried 3 different types of cards, 3 different sets of batteries, wiggle this side, wiggle that side. NOthing. I cant even consistently get the No sc card warning. AARRRGGGGHHHH!!! This is why I dont ever borrow. Also why I've been avoiding this cam, with a remote. :x DANGIT!!

Alright back in the box. Thanks guys for your quick responses. This little failure helped me make up my mind without even getting a pic. If it cant be easily set up and used I dont want it. Thanks again guys for the help.

Hey Brian, could be just a bad cable and not the cam or remote, call HCO Uway, they will most likely send you a new cable.
Good luck, hope you can get us some pics.

Rick! :D

The light on the bottom of the remote is suppose to be green.

did you try charging the remote, if your talking about the light on the bottom of the remote if its red it probably needs to be charged. it should be green if its charged.
