We are already planning our next contest. We will provide more details in the future as we get them.

Pictures entered in the contest must be taken from 04/15/2011 through 07/15/2011. This gives you a heads up and a time frame to start preparing now.

The contest will be judged by an independant panel of judges including those providing prizes (who are not also contestants).

Photos should include a date time stamp and should not be photo editted. If you want to crop out a section, you can but always show the original picture too. If you need to enhance the photo, show both original and enhanced.

The contest is not about how well you can photoshop your photos. Its about using cameras as they are and capturing great photos.

Each contestant can supply up to two images into a contest. A contestant must choose a single contest. This means you can not be in the commercial contest and the homebrew contest.

There will be two contest topics, one for commercial cameras and one for home brew cameras. The contest topics will be created on 07/05/2011. This means that you can enter your photos for public viewing starting at that time. Judging will begin on 07/15/2011 at Noon EST !!!

You should resize your photos to no wider than 1024 which is the max for our forum.

Start getting your cameras in the woods now. Check back for more details on sponsors, etc.

Here are the topics for submission of photos:
Commercial:

UPDATE: Judging Will continue into next week to give all judges time to perform a thorough job. Winners will be announced on Thursday July 21, 2011. I will need all winners to email me on my Chasingame email (anthony <at> chasingame.com) with their phone number. I will call each winner and they will get to choose from the list of prizes which I will categorize into 5 slots for each contest. So there will be 4 picks and whats left goes to 5th place. I will decide on a grand prize winner and break any ties in the judging process. Winners, please try and be available next thursday and friday so I can call you and have you pick your prize.

Thats a neat idea. Short clips like 10 - 15 seconds I would imagine....
That would be fun.

Can you imagine having to down load a couple hundred 15 second videos, view them, remember them, judge them all off different posts? That would be great except the time to judge would probably take a couple of years, so we could only have one contest every other year. If the judges were the same as the donators we might have a problem finding donators that could spare that much time. Joe are you volunteering?

thats great news! cant wait for this contest to see some great pics once again and put mine up against those of a bunch of other guys. I did get some awesome pics the day before the last contest ended but didnt check that cam till after the deadline so didnt get to enter them in the last contest and wont get to enter them in this contest either. guess i just gotta get some more good ones! Thanks again to everyone who helped with the last contest and everyone who will be helping out with this one! definitely adds some fun to the forum!

That would be awesome. Here is my create-a-contest plan: the contest will only be open for pictures taken on 4/1 through 4/7 and the prizes will be all the same as the last contest. :D

Haha, you can't blame me for trying! Look at this shot from 4/5:

But that is ok, I'll just go set up to get some more. :D I had to try!

Thanks Chachoze! Admittedly a friend helped touch it up a bit in photoshop. The colors on the original from the cam were muted a lot from the flash going off in the day time. I can't wait for this new contest though! I have a bunch of ideas for camera sets. :)
