Something is definitely wrong. I am using lithiums in one cam and alkalines in the other. I have gotten ton's of pics and vids and both cameras are still going strong! Try replacing the batteries with new ones. If it is the batteries, then the camera is not measuring the batteries correctly. If it is not the batteries, the camera has other problems.

Another thought. On my first 467, the battery springs tensile strength were nonexistant so I returned it for a 466. The 466 battery springs were fine.

Maybe you should check the battery spring tension, maybe it is weak in the cam that you have. In other words, they collapse but do not bounce back when battery is removed...

Maybe not. Maybe I'm asking waaaaaaay too much from this cam.

I got over 1300 20 sec videos with Rayovacs and I believe Shenriver got over 1400 videos on alkalines.

They cant be dead if they are testing out a 1.6 volts. Something else is going on with the cam

for sure that's near impossible for lithiums to last only that long

Have you tried using ultra or extreme cards? Too many people are sticking a class 2 card in these cams and trying to run video. We should have a sticky telling everyone that if they are having problems with this cam to make sure they are using the SC card recommended. It would save on a lot of threads.

I'm using an extreme.
Cam check day is every Friday. Hopefully The LCD screen will have corrected itself by then.
We'll see.

I dont think the class card will have a difference with the lcd screen. However when running video it may make a differnce in how it functions. And also may have a difference in battery life as well.

no not really only a big difference in upload time when viewing the videos on the computer, i bought them also because they are recommended by bushnell for the HD cams
