If you are talking about the 2010 d8 my brother has one. The white flash takes very good pics. Told him to try the ir the other day, don't know if he did. The built in viewer is cool, you can zoom in on the pics and really see what your looking at. It is a large cam if that bothers you(4 d batts), does not hide well. There is a review of it in last years reviews.

I am guessing you are talking about the D8 as well. The D8 has an 8 MegaPixel camera, can hold up to an 8GB SD card, sensor range of 40 feet, built in viewer, has the ability for the external power pack, and can even take colored night photos and videos.

Is there anything else you would like to know?

WGI is out of stock and no longer makes the D8 however they still have some D8D's as of yesterday 12-7-11. I had two D8's but had to send them in for warranty and I got back D8D's which is the same cam except the D8D's are camo and come with 4 D batts, one 2GB SD card and a security bracket. They produce great day pics and the best night color pics of any commercial strobe cam that I have seen, IMO. I have had many white flash cams and got rid of all but the D8D's because the others didn't even come close to the pic quality, flash range and sensing. I now have 5 D8D's and all on WGI EBX battery packs. The videos are decent and night IR pics are pretty good also. You may have noticed the WGI guy wrote " and can even take colored night photos and videos" but of course it can not take colored night video and I don't think he meant to imply that as it will only take black and white night vids. Also keep in mind they are made by WGI which means that something could screw up at any time  I buy em anyway cause their customer service has been outstanding. One other thing, of the 7 D8D's that I have owned one of them took pretty bad pics, very blurry and another one only took fair pics so you just never know what you are going to have till you get some pics out of them.

Note: Somehow these pics lost some quality during the Photobucket transfer but they still look pretty good.

Those look pretty good for how long that WGI throwaway will last. I have 2 WGI's I'm putting a bullet through after this years season ends!

I'd be happy to take those WGI's if they are still working.

So with so many people getting back into white flash cameras is the company thinking about coming out with a good solo white flash with decent battery life????????? I personal no longer buying red flash cams and want to get back a few white flash cameras that are good. I thing WGI cameras have some of the best picture quality out there. Please let me know.

The best strobe flash camera we have right now is the D10. We are moving away from the strobe flash because we feel more people are moving towards the infrared flash cameras.

I feel like you are right for the no glow flash but there is a strong push for a good strobe camera as many are getting tired of the blur. Just saying I think its something that should be looked into as there is some money to be made.

I will pass this along to the proper department with your suggestion.
