I know I'm going to wait at least til Anthony gets a couple reviews done...hopefully on the Covert, Spypoint and WGI cams before Aug...as for blackflash in general..for security purposes/hiding from 2 leggers - its a good thing no doubt. But as for deer and predators I don't think its making much of a difference if they are reacting or not...some just don't react to cams at all and some are gone quick. The light may be less visible but it is still visible and the critters have alot better eyes than us...esp at night.

Its not just the initial reaction you see on camera. Its about camera avoidance! Most all of my red blob cams have a steady drop in deer activity over time. That's why so many here are going the black flash route.

It's hard to believe how much difference there is untill you see it for yourself.made a believer out of me real quick.
Watch what happens when this Doe sees the red IR's on the camera.

I have seen that vid before and I have a couple myself, also on multishot sequences. I do belive though that the blackflash cams, because deer can see that cam at night with or without the flash, aren't going to have a whole lot different reaction than the redblob when the flash goes off...its a sudden change or sense of movement...the black flash has light emittence thats how it works...the deer react to it or don't same as any...most reactions like that in the vid I've had are with newly placed (and better hidden) cams and it was the suprise factor and something new in a place where it shouldn't be that caused the reaction. Many of those deer came back later and didn't react - they had accepted the cam as harmless but the first time it suprised them. As I said the human element in the woods is what I think the black flash is good for and what I will buy one for...I'm thinking that for predators(esp coyotes, fox, and wolves) they should come out with a green flash as that is what is the best color for shooting them at night as they don't react to it(unless they see the source of that light moving or blinking around - they usually don't to have to much time in this case though)

ya I have 3 cams, 2 wildviews and a moultrie D-40 or something like that. I have SD cards that I swap out when I go hunting and check them while I'm in the treestand using my digital camera. I use the python lock to lock my cams and I'm the only on that hunts for deer in my area. Where I hunt is in the woods, not farm land or food plots. So I have my cams setup on trees beside the deer trails, etc. Here is a sample pic I got this year and what one of my spots look like.

So what I'm basically looking at is a cam that will get the job done, as long as it takes a good enough clear pics at night or day. A cam with black flash or low glow/no glow so it won't spook the deer. I've had many big bucks spooked this year due to the flash on the cams I have, thought infrared would be good but then noticed the black flash that is new so it looks to be something that will do the trick. A cam that will take good videos with sound, good trigger speed and a cam that can take more then 3 shots, good battery life.

what you need is the little acorn 5210a it is not a black flash,it has low intensity red ir,s that stay on maybe 1/4 sec. not close to 2 sec. like the red ball buster brakelight flash cams that will drive your bucks away over time. it has a great sensor, decent flash range, only has a 3 shot burst,it will be taking pictures when you check it, and it is the little apple of my heart. see my topic today in pictures for a example of what it is capable of in the picture department in real life. truly hazelvillebucks

If you buy it fom a place that is easy to return, it might be worth trying. Probably better to wait for the review. I have owned 2 Stealthcams. I think they take some of the best pics, but they have had the worst sensing and battery life of any cameras that I've owned.

Here is a sample of the BO 60 from last week
Now sure if they are going to continue this model in 2012
I see they showed a smaller version at the ATA show
This one uses (4) D batteries and the new one will use AA

Thanks for the video post, looks like that cam takes good video. Does it take good pics too? Would be a nice thing using AA's I know my moultrie that runs on D batteries is abit much to carry with me. Take's up a lot of room in my bag and weighs it down for sure lol.

Hi- this video is made up of 480 photos. These are all photos taken in one week. I am not hiding any blurred photos. I removed 6 pictures of me. ;-)
Videos from this cam are good. This is a BF + 5 camera.
