This looks like it could be a nice event if one had the time to go. Its not that far from where I live but just after the holidays might not be the right time. Tax return? Oh, thats a thing of the past so it seems.

Well its actually Southeast Missouri...but it seems to be more and more the Land of the Un-Appreciated lately LMAO

I've been down thru Atlanta Georgia a few years ago...I had a Neice that was living down there just outside of Atlanta.I would have loved to have visited Year One (the Pontiac Parts Supplier) while I there but it didn't work out.

We have a Predator Derby/Contest up here at the end of January, been a big Event with more and more Hunters interested in joining it each year.We aquired a lot of Hunting Land from the local Farmers,Deer Hunters and Turkey Hunters just to go and take out as many Coyotes and Predators we can while in Season!

It's a great organized predator wipeout as I see it. The hogs have got bad everywhere and they can be shot here all year long! We have 1 seen on the cameras and never had any on our 600 acres. If theres one then there will be 12 next time as the have babies like rats!

There's mixed feeling about Hogs here in Missouri, some People are thrilled with it and want to go out and hunt them, the Land Owners and Farmers are not happy about it and do not want them around destroying Farm Land and Crops most of the Deer Hunters aren't thrilled with it either because most are trying to manage their Deer Herds and after planting a lot of food plots they don't want them devastated by wild Feral Hogs.

There have been several Hogs down towards Lake Wappapelo area,Greenville and Piedmont area by Sam A. Baker State Park, they tried to trap them but they got smart and won't go in any more so I believe they had to try shooting them instead? This past Nov during Rifle Deer Season a Young Hunter shot a Big Boar Feral Hog down towards Farrar Missouri towards the Mississippi River Bottom area and they also saw a Sow with some Piglets. It seems the Hogs have been traveling North and getting more abundant especially in the Big Timber and Forest area's where there are less Houses and People to see or hunt them, there are several Hunters that have been using Dogs to find the hogs, with so much Private Land across Missouri its hard to get permission to go and hunt them so thats another reason they can slip away.

Those jokers are nasty, diesease carring, land destroying, animal killing nuisances on 4 legs. They are some tough hided jokers too! The Game wardens around here actually want us to rid the most we can if possible. I'd love to nail one of those jokers with "Blood n Guts" 300WSM.

Just haven't got a glimpse of his monkey butt yet! RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......................

The hogs devastated my cousins alfalfa field in Southern Oklahoma. They also were chasing the cows away from the hay and other food put out for them. Nasty animals to have around.

They also just about have destroyed a nice watering hole for the deer by wallowing aound in it.
