Okay, I am new to this forum but veteran to other forums like QDMA and Duckhunting Chat... love running cameras and always looking for something to make it more fun... So, HELLO!!!

Getting to the point...

I live in NE Kansas and hunt all of Kansas. I am looking at the ScoutGuard MMS cameras and love the idea but not sure ATT or T-Mobile will work for me.

Kansas (non-urban areas) has only moderate coverage at best according to the coverage maps.

So my question is: Are there any forum members with this camera system in Kansas and what carrier do you use? Good coverage?

when looking at coverage maps look at the gsm edge/gprs coverage rather than 3g or 4g. I think you will find it more common and this is the technology the current MMS cameras are using. Unfortunately taking your smartphone out to a potential site and checking how many bars you are getting is not a great predictor of performance for the mms cameras.

Well, sorry Scoutgaurd. Went with LTL Acorn due to the larger MMS pictures transmitted.

FYI T-Mobile is not a good route in Kansas unless you want it for urban survelliance. AT&T is not 100% either but does work in a few of the areas I frequent.

Based on my research NE Kansas is GREAT AT&T, SC Kansas is MEDIOCRE but does work (slow) T-Mobile = Nothing!
