after three nights out, and about 200 picts, i must report my xd is so, so....so far. the picts are fairly grainy, almost like the mega pixels went down from my original m80. this shows up mostly at night, with the day picts being ok. i also had a runaway situation with it from noon until five in the afternoon. took alot of picts of nothing. i hope it was the shadows causing it. anyway, the motion freeze seems to work well...and that may be the reasons for the grainy picts at night. will probably try a different set up and hope for better luck.

Did you mean to type M80 XT? That is what CG tested.

I do see a M 80 XD for sale at "Custom 1" so I do not doubt there is a model XD

This has me wondering if it is the same camera. Moultrie web site in no help because it is still advrtising the 2011 new M 80 :cry:

i got motion freeze on, 3 shot burst fast and photo quality set to "high" w/5 sec delay and getting good results as seen in ones i posted. nites not that grainy. mine picks up doves and squirrels all the time so something that sized could be triggering it.
using lithium batteries.

The M-80XD is a dealer only model. Cabelas and Walmart will not be able to sell those cameras. Just Moultrie dealers. The M-80X-Blk is also a dealer only cameras.

Bass pro has the m80xt on the shelf here in Springfield for 160. They also have the d55irxt.
