I put a piece of Camo material over the face of the IR on a M80-XD to see if it would work through the Camo, i first tested in a dark room and i could still see the red glow from the camera but it did take a good ir picture so i set it out in the woods to test here are a couple sample Ir Pics with the camo over the IR.

Hey Chuck, that's pretty slick. :P Please explain further about the camo material. Is it a type of fine mesh, or is it actually a fabric or T-shirt type material?

Its a very thin material with self adhesive and is easily removable , you can still see the IR glow through the camo tape. I put on two layers and I am testing that tonight. I have it listed on my website here .

I'm very impressed with how bright the flash pictures are.
I've noticed that during the day what always gives away the location of a well camouflaged camera is the shiny reflection from the LEDs. I see the camo tape as being an additional security measure as well as possibly reducing the incidents of flash avoidance.

It happens occasionally...a spammer program.
Anthony will see it taken care of soon I'm sure.

Update on this.. did you experience any excessive motion blur other than what is normal for a M80?

the m80d comes with the option of motion freeze technology which means you can have a shutter duration of 1/30 of a second instead of 1/11 of a second ,problem is pretty much cured. you also have the option of fast shots or regular .i have set my cam to the fast shot for 2 pictures hoping the ir will turn off more quickly., no longer have to have three shots hoping for i without excessive motion blur. when i was playing in the yard with the camo adhesive i could not tell the pictures from before to after,as far as flash range being effected. hazelvillebucks

I didn't pay attention that the review was done a M80-XD. I was thinking it was the original M80 which I have. I ordered some, so I will have to try it out and see how the M80 does with it.

The Original M80 has the light sensor in the IR Array , you do not want to cover the sensor.

Thanks... I know I seen that somewhere but had completely forgotten about that. I would've been cussing trying to figure out was going with it after I covered everything. Thanks.

The only place I know of is with Custom1 Enterprises. His user name is custom1 and get to his website through his signatures. Atleast thats the kind that is being talked about in this post. I dont know if its see through with the naked eye but the ir light still shines through but somewhat diminished. Which is what some are using it for on their brake light cameras. To reduce spooking deer and cut down on ir burn.
