At the very end of last Fall I had a Duracell leak into one of my M-80's. I took it home and cleaned it out and it worked after that. I pulled the batteries from all my cams and stored them for a few months and I'm going to put them out in the next couple weeks. I batteried them up today and this cam wouldn't start up. I took the batteries out and hit all the terminals with a dry toothbrush them ruffed them a little with a nail file. Still wouldn't work... Took a battery tray from another M-80 and that made the camera in question work no problem, so it is a battery tray problem. Put tray in question back in the camera in question and it worked....this time.

What would you do prior to putting the camera back out to ensure that it will continue to work?? Thanks for your input! DL

might be where the tray connects to the camera...you probably checked that?

Yup, everything looks clean where the connection is made from the tray to the camera itself. I've powered it on probably ten times since posting this and it comes on each time. I just want to give it it's best chance to work in the woods...don't want to leave a cam out there that is going to die in a day or two....'

Is there anything out there to put on those little terminals that improved conduction of battery juice?

OK, thanks! I turned it on this morning and nothing happened. Turned it off, gave it a couple whacks on the side, then tried again. It came on that time.

After 4 sets of batterys, mine gets about 24 pics and then kills the batterys I have tried customer serv and they walked me thru the hard reset process but after re-checking the cam i have dead batterys again. As you say you can give it a hit on the side and it wakes up.I dont trust mine at all. I am going to call them one more time.
