These are with camera set to 8mp. Trying 5mp next.

First photo is a manual photo, me holding camera and taking photo off the back porch.

second photo is motion detected night shot

Appears to me that it sensed me at 50 or so feet. Maybe a tad more. I was wearing black pants, black long sleeve, light gray short sleeve. My door is 110 feet from cam. I came out door walked slow, stopped and waved my arms in a couple of spots. This was third and final spot and only photo taken. Sensor is set to normal. Will change that to high and try again.

Something wrong with the lense?? Has a sort of fish eye effect, the corners are blurred... otherwise looks decent, especially the day shot.

I've noticed a lot of cams have that effect including some that I own meaning they produce pics that are sharp in the center but blurry on the edges.
The color in that first pic is awesome nylla! 8)

I've just got our overnight results back on this camera:

We have had a standard SG560 on a fox track for the past couple of days, set very low, 6", with a handful of peanuts as bait & the foxes were very aware & nervous of the camera.

We replaced the 560 with the 560K & although the foxes show no fear they are however aware of the camera but came to within inches of it to a previously untouched pile of peanuts a vast improvement on the Red Blob 560!

The illumination was set to normal, unfortunately the camera was angled down a little.
The camera is in a gully so you cannot see into the distance.
It was triggered a number of times by mice, something a standard 560 never did.

I'll upload video later today when I have the time & continue to test this camera out over the next couple of days.

I'm dying to get card out of camera and post some more photos, but I actually have to work today. Hopefully, tonight I can pull card. I'm sure hoping the higher sensitivity picks me up at a further distance.

Fish eye in night photo is because there is nothing buy wide open space on the sides of scene. Camera is also behind a dirt pile which is what you see on bottom right.

This camera shows no signs of taking a picture. No "writing to card" light. No visible flash. When you go out to set it off, you have zero indication that it took a photo until you pull the card. No villian will see this camera. And I could read my tag number when I pulled straight into yard in day time.

thought 5mp pix would be smaller size files. not really. ScoutGuard man said camera was 5mp interpolated to 8mp, so seems to me 5mp ought to work just fine and it does. These are all at 5mp

back porch shot for comparison

Image

moved camera, had it pointed wrong, so in this night photo, I came out door, walked around passenger side of car and then across in front of camera. Didn't pick me up until I got center frame

Image

I did get out the tape measure. It's 103 feet from camera to my front door. Picks me up at 90 feet or so, in day time, on riding lawnmower, in 85 degree weather, but again, only when I get center frame. Sensor now set to high

-no image-

Am realizing I don't know what I'm doing at testing camera for others. Am anxiously awaiting Anthony's professional tests.

later y'all

For detection range, you might want to take a look of this diagram:
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26655

Though many have reported 90 ft detection, at the peripheral areas (maximum full angle
is about 60 degree), detection range is only half or even less.

Try to avoid branches in front of the camera for better night picture quality.

One last sample, with house dark, no brances in front of camera. 103 feet to front door.
