There seems to be some confusion about what is ok for vendors to post outside the vendor forum so I figured I would clarify it.

If you are a dealer, prostaffer, employee or have any ties to any camera manufacturer you MUST post any information regarding the sales, use, or testing of any cameras you sell, promote or make (engineer) in the vendor self promotion forum.

This is the rule and there are no exceptions. The users of the forum should know that the information posted is either by a vendor, pro staffer, or employee of a camera manufacturer or a regular end user and therefore can decide as to what degree of credibility they give the information. We are not saying the vendors plan to mislead the forum users but we are trying to "keep it real". The failure to obide by our vendor policy can and will result in a warning followed by a ban from using the forum.

What if all we are doing is posting pictures, vendor forum or pictures/video forum? I don't want Johnnydeerhunter bunning me. :mrgreen:

Its my understanding prostaff member pictures go in the picture video forum. I also don't want JDH bunning anyone :oops:

I have no problem with prostaff pictures in the normal picture and video forums. As long as things don't get carried away and the forums start turning into an infomercial it's not a problem.

Also, bunning is not part of the global moderators job description. :roll: :mrgreen:
