Can the primos Steroid pack be used with the NT50B? If so do the batteries have to be in the cam or out? :?

I am using a 6 volt 14 Ah SLA and leave the battery compartment empty.
I works awsome.
If the steroid pack is 6 volt go for it.
Oh, The SLA I purchased was only $ 19.00 last August
The battery plug-in cords are available for $ 15.00

If the Steroid pack is 6 volt then it will work but you may have to get a external cord from Custom1 made especially for the Uway. I would at least put four batteries in the camera because if you don't you will have to set the date and time every time you change out the external battery.

Thanks it is 6 volt. So if I use the external pack it will not keep the internal battery charged that keeps time, date etc. unless I keep batteries in it ?? With batteries in it will it use the pack and the batteries in the cam? It came with a cord and I can change it out if it does not fit. I will try it out both ways.

The cam will use the external battery first and then switch to internal batteries when the external dies. Most folks that use external batteries will just use plain alkaline batteries in the cam just so they don't have to set the clock everytime the external goes dead.

Thanks, Thats what I needed to know. Now I just have to go to Radio Shac and get the proper plug. The standard plug will not work.

I do not use internal C batteries.
Pulling the remote battery plug to service the camera SD card does not affect the internal time, date or camera settings.

bowhtr1, I apologize!!! Hookedoncameras is correct!!! For some reason I was thinking about my Bushnell 466. The Uway will indeed keep the date and time. Sorry about that and thanks Hooked for correcting me.
