I have moultrie photos (I-60, I-50, & I-40) where the datetime doesn't match the originaldatetime on the photo exif information. These older photos have been renamed using windows on an older machine and then transfered to my new machine before being inserted into SA (don't know if this has anything to do with the problem). Is there a way to make SA use the originaltimedate or another software that can fix the information so the two match each other before inserting into SA. The originaltimedate matches the date imprinted on the photos and thats what I would like for the file name to match when inserted into SA. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advanced

Right now, I do not have a mechanism in SA to correct the "exif" or meta data for invalid time date. Maybe someone is familiar with a utility out there to do that.

Not a problem. I searched on google for a little bit. I'll do some more digging and hopefully I can find something. If I do, I'll post it up for others that may have the same experience. Thanks

I found a work around using Picture Information Extractor renaming tool. I was able to recreate the same sequence and format used by SA based on the date the picture was taken instead of the date and time applied by my previous transfer utility. So I load them up through SA to get them in the program and then use the Picture Information Extractor renaming utility to batch rename the files inside the SA created folder. From here on out, I won't have to worry about it. Just load them directly from my card reader to SA. Awesome product and saves me a ton of time, renaming files and folders through windows, trying to keep everything in order.

The only other question I have is what is the "import date" derived from. I see you can change it but was just curious as to what it pulled from originally? Thanks again.

Import Date is either pulled from todays date -or- from one of the photos selected during import when you select one. How this functions is based on a setting in the general settings.
