Ok everybody, I just bought another I450 with the 12v external battery box. I got one back in the summer, but someone stole the damn thing and I didn't even get a single pic off of it.

This time around, I am doing things right by making the ultimate I450. I just only need a little helpful suggestions from you all. First off, let's start with a lock, any suggestions? I'm having a hard time creating a theft proof locking system. It seems kind of almost impossible to put something on it because of the way it's straped to the tree with the little belt. I can only see a small cable running around it, which would probably be easy to cut.

Secondly, what settings should I use with it? I plan on leaving in the woods for a couple of weeks so baiting really isn't an option except maybe the first couple of days. It's a 30 minute drive so I don't want to waste gas on baiting every couple of days.

And last but not least, is there anything else I should know about this damn thing? Any helpful tips I could use? Thanks for everybody's help and hopefully I post some pics soon!!!

Check out this link for a security bracket. Then lock it up with a python cable lock. As far a settings go I usually set it for 2 pics or video. If you are not baiting then face it down a trail. Good luck

Most of the time if they can't steal it they will destroy it because they know that their picture was taken. I don't think there's really any surefire way of protecting a camera from a trespassing thief.

This is the bear safe/security box I made for my DeerCam. I have one for my I-40 just havent painted it or anything yet. The only way they can get to the camera is have a big pair of bolt cutters or cut down the tree. I made a few changes to the I-40 one though. On both side I welded a piece of metal with a hole in it for a python lock plus the lock on the bottom. It would be kinda hard to cut the lock on the bottom though. There isnt much room after the lock is in and locked. Im using a Fortress lock. I like them because they have a rubber coat so to speak that protects it from the weather.
