just wondering what option you use most on your trail camera...and why?? i use the picture function the most because its better then taking snapshots of the video itself.

I use picture the most but alot of that is because I'm lazy and don't have the time to go through the vids.

Mainly pics on the trail cams. I have used the video modes to try them out, but have a video homebrew for that. Also have a s600 set for video with audio I use on occasion.

Have always used the stills but recently caught a coyote on one I had set up for video.I had a cam set up facing the one set for video's and never got a still pic from it.The video showed me just how spooky and quick they are.I will be using video a lot more this year. David

I like my i40 which takes the video then a still right after to get the date/time.

Best of both worlds.

I like to use Picasa to view the picts and video, makes it easy to skip through the video that is not interesting.

Sometimes a pic is just not enough, the movement makes the difference. Just wish the video was higher rez than 640x480.

The I40 is nice with the video then picture.

What I would like to see is the camera take the Picture, followed by video, then follow up picture with adjustable video length. I would rather see that than the multi shot burst on most cameras.

In that scenario you get the triggered picture, still get to see the movement of the animal, then the end picture.

Good Scouting,

Monsterbuk
