3 Camera Test with Cudde vs. Cudde vs. Cudde

When things around here started to get busy a couple years ago we would pull out the ol 1.3 Cudde and stick it up against a camera that we were trying to determine its operating capabilities. This cam served us well and we still have it deployed over trail areas we need to watch. We pulled it in and placed it against a couple of its big brothers in a head to head sensing comparison.

We always start to have second thoughts when we start to compare results, because something that we have held in such high esteem does not do so good. The two other cameras were the 3.0 and the 3.0 Expert. Being time has passed and things have gotten better of course the new cams should out perform the old 1.3. Well, this progression stopped with the 3.0 and the new Expert failed to out perform its older brother. There are probably some folks out there that will not agree with the results and if they wish we are open to doing it again. Having taken such care in the set up we feel this would not prove anything.

Test results were

  • 1.3 = 18 pictures

  • 3.0 = 76 pictures

  • Expert = 44 pictures

We will create a time line to determine the presence of animals and at what distance they were from the camera.

Kinda looks like the EBAY price on refurbished 3.0's might be going up.
