September 06, 2008: Timber Eye (Remington Ghost) Updated/Improvements are on the way.

Well folks, the folks down south that have the big screwdriver in the Timber Eye/Remington Ghost facility have been busy gathering data on their products problems. They have now addressed some of these problems and now have an updated camera. They have notified us that it is on the way for us to retest. Lets keep our fingers crossed that we will now have a much better functioning camera. We will start yet another new review and give it a fair chance to redeem itself. We have got to take our hats off for all this good effort on their part. We need more  functioning cameras in that price range and design.

The first rule of trail cameras, like medicine, should be "Do No Harm". After customers caught a virus, you gotta wonder if they will be willing to belly up to that salad bar again!

True but to be fair if a manufacturer contacts us stating improvements are on the way then we are obliged to report this and test it. The first step in the right direction is to admit you have an issue then try and correct it... looks like they are heading in the right direction.

Got a bud who just bought one a couple weeks ago, put it out and had awesome success with it. This is the first or second day he had it out, I think he got over 900 pix in 2 1/2 weeks, he's got it set on video now, not sure about it. Walmarts selling these like Crazy!! He was ready to take it back b4 he even got any pix just by reading reviews, I guess he got a "new" cam... Anyway, just thought I'd let you know that ONE person has had a little luck with the cam....
