I am new to trail cams
This camera has an interesting set up in that it will run on 4 alkaline cells with room for 4 more in parallel ( recommended)
The camera will not work with NiCd or NimH cells ( voltage too low) (instructions claim will work down to 4 volts)
I thought this was odd to be so voltage sensitive.
This leads to a problem of not lasting more than a couple nights if too many videos are captured.

There is a 6 volt input that does not work with three different and tested power supplies.

The instructions are sparse with this camera. It appears that the 6 volt external jack is to be used when there are no batteries in the camera. Attempting to do so overheated the Alkaline batteries causing them to leak.
