We went to the pulmonary doctor yesterday late and spent a lot more of his time than any of us expected... The short story is 1) New meds 2) I'm as good as I'm going to be 3) BUT we are going to try a stationary bike to see if I can work up to where I have full use of the 50% of lung function that I now have...

That's right only 50% of lung function after the fun and games of November and December...So I'm just like a 8 cylinder motor running 4 cylinders... I guess a collapsed lung is worse than we first thought...

Now we have to just try the bike, new meds and wait and see how things go... As of now I'm still on oxygen all the time and have trouble doing minor things like going to get the mail, walking the dog and even taking a bath... We thought we would get a better report but it is what it is....

I have FAITH that things will get better enough for me to at least go hunting agian this fall...

I started squeezing the lemons this afternoon... Like the doc told me start out slow so I did a few minutes on the bike and will work up to what ever I can get to...

You have the right attitude. Give 100% so as to make things as good as you can. We will keep you and your progress in our thoughts and prayers.

Two minutes just seemed too easy so I went up to when it started to get not very easy yesterday, which was around 5 minutes... So I've set my goal at 5 minutes until it gets easy again and then go up from there...
