Since I have updated my firmware and app I cannot get my camera to respond to real time either through the app or website. If I walk in front of it will take a picture and send it to my app and website though. Real time is turned on, but does not respond.

Make sure the time zone is set in the camera settings on the app

I live in mobile Alabama and I am in the central time zone, the closest I could find in the app is Chicago, could that cause a problem?

No, that should be no problem at all. Update your settings after you make the change
