I have received yesterday the BG668-E36WG that is one of the new cameras from boly for 2019 and I want to share my experience by using this camera by doing something like a review. If that's not the best place to post please change to a more appropriated section, I was not sure if post here or on the Boly/Trail Cam Reviews section.

Here is a list of the features from the boly site:

-Molnus Cloud service for all over the world
-Online preview by APP or web portal
-Ultra fast image and video transmission
-36MP picture resolution and 4k video
-Wide angle lens
-100ft. lighting and detection range
-Supports GPS function and password protection
-Supports up to 32GB SD card
-5*18650 rechargeable batteries or 8*AA batteries
-Free mobile application available for IOS, Android, and Windows, click here to download
-Supports solar and external power supply

What caught my attention is the fact that this camera is using a 14MP image sensor and the ability of using 5* 18650 batteries (I'm courios to see how long they can last). I was also interested of the Molnus system, I didn't found any review of this system.

I also bought the solar panel with the power bank (BC-02), I already own one and it's doing really well with another cell camera.

Here are a couple of picture of the boxes and what were inside:

Here is a sample pic while I was playing with the camera in the garden. The first is the original image (14MP) from the sd card the second is the one that has been send to the portal to the lowest resolution (there are three settings: low, normal, hight/original image)

Sending Mode:
This camera can send image and video via MMS, GPRS, Molnus.
Molnus is a platform where image and video are uploaded, you can use an application for your phone or a web platform on your computer.

Now my camera is sending image via the Molnus platform here are a few pictures I have received, the fist are the images downloaded from the app, the second are the originals downloaded from the sd card:

Image were all send using the low settings, in certain case it’s hard to read the date and time but on the app you can see clearly because it’s highlighted.

Before using the Molnus system I thought that there would be more information show at the camera page, like Boly show on their site. Like battery level, signal, sd card space. But the only thing I see is when the last picture as been uploaded. I contacted the support for having more information and I’m waiting a response.
I have received a response and it's a bug that have to be resolved, should be done soon.

Another thing is the settings that you can change, they are limited. You can’t change all the settings. I hope that there will be an update to change this.
I didn’t receive any notification when a picture is uploaded, I have to go into the application for see if a picture as been uploaded. I don’t know if is a problem with my phone or if is a problem of the application, I’m waiting a reply from the Molnus support.
They have quickly reply me and now I can receive notifications. They also told me that they are happy to receive some suggestion and feedback so they can develop more interesting feature that the user want. So I hope there will be new updates.

Battery Life:
On their site is advertised that the camera can send >500 MMS or/and (didn't know what they mean) 400 videos (interval=5 mins, video length=10 secs). You can have a look at they page under technical parameters.
Now I'm using the camera with 8 AA Lithium battery, I will tell you how long they last.
I have ordered some cheap 18650 batteries to use with the solar panel and the camera. This batteries need to be pointed head and max 65mm long, if they are longer they won't fit.
The power bank that goes with the solar panel needs 4*18650 batteries, this batteries will be charged throught the solar panel, and will be the first power for the camera. The batteries inside the camera are the second power used when the external power source is not charged.

When I have time I will update this post with more information and image/video.
I hope this can be helpfull, I'm not a Native English speaker so forgive me if I make mistakes, I try to do the best.

Anthony wrote: Sat Jun 15, 2019 7:38 am Did you supply your own sim ? How do you set the APN ?
Yes, I supply my own sim, and for setting up the camera there is a Configuration Tool to download on your windows computer, then you can setup the camera on all function cellular and non. For cellular it depends on your country and cellular operator, there are a lot operator that are preset so you only have to choose the country and operator, for example Canada - Rogers, in this case you don’t have to put your APN. In my case my carrier was not preset so I have to chose the custum mode and insert APN, IP, Port and other information that are required. I will post a few screen so you can have an idea. I have to say that I’m pretty used to do this and I have had no problem by setting the camera to the cellular mode and also connect the camera to the Molnus system. It takes me approximately 10/15 minutes.
Here are a couple of screenshot from the settings program:

Anthony wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2019 7:23 am What is the cost of the Molnus system ?
It’s basically free, you only need data on your sim, when you register a new camera you get 300 credit, you can use credit for change settings instantly, request a picture or share the camera with more than a person. Cost are 2 points for a settings change, 2 points for requiring a picture and 100 points for sharing a camera with another user (the first user is free).
It’s also possibly to change setting free by saving the setting change on the app and wait until the next upload.
If you need you can buy more points, they are sold in bundle pack of 100/200/500 Credits, cost is 5€ for 100 Credits, 25€ for 500 Credits.

I have more pictures to share, this have been send on normal size, so the quality is a bit better.
I have to say that the camera has a good PIR sensor, until now I didn't get any false trigger, and I have also got some small animals that are not exactly in front of the camera. Try to find the squirrel in one of this pics.

Woody S wrote:The daytime photos look pretty nice, but I think the night photos leave a lot to be desired.
I must admit that the night photos do not look the best, it seems that the flash goes all on the left side and on the right side there is not enough. I think this position is not the best, in the morning the sun is in front of the camera, but the photos are not bad. I will try another setup to see the difference.
WoodsWatcher wrote:Thanks for the info. I'm still searching for my first cellular cam. And still want one that does color pictures at night though. White flash or leds etc.
The only brand that has one is Cuddeback but it's not a "true" cellular camera, you have to go with the Cuddelink system. I don't know why no company has made one.

There is low demand for incandescent or "white" flash. Most want the security of no flash "black flash" and to aovid spooking the game.

also, incandescent flash uses more energy than IR leds.

Anthony is right in regards to more of the cams being used for security. As far as spooking the subjects with the White Flash cams I've had very few subjects become alarmed with the flash. Just my $.02 worth.

Yeah I'm not worried about spooking game. Have picture after picture of the same bucks even 15 secs apart as well as video- they may look towards it and even try to figure it out but hardly ever get "spooked" by it. Regular IR is terrible when it comes to that although some tolerate it. Black/invisible is much better of course.

I'm not one of those just trying to see what bucks are in the area etc...I like good quality color pictures.

SwissHunter, as I was reminded of some days ago Cuddeback does have their interchangeable flashes so the white flash/strobe can be used on their cellular one if they don't start selling one with the strobe in it already. No videos at night if using that but I can live with just pictures in color.

If you want a quality picture from a White Flash Cam, go to a Home Brew. If you find you need/want more flash, add a slave.

Would like to say thank you to both Anthony and St[…]
