I've been using Amazon Basics 2400 mah AA rechargable batteries in both my homebrewed and commercial cameras, they've given very good service. But my latest order of those batteries were made in China rather than Japan. I've had Chinese-made 2400 mah AA rechargable batteries in the past -- they wouldn't hold a charge and I've never bought them again. Unless Amazon goes back to having their batteries made in Japan these are my last Amazon Basics.

I've been using amazon regular alkaline for a couple years. I never paid attention to where they were made. But the previous batch didnt seem to last as long as the first batch did. I'm on my 3rd batch now and these are made in Indonesia. This batch seems better that the last one. I normally buy the 100 packs. On a side note, when I ordered a 100 pack a couple months ago, I mistakenly ordered AAA's. When browsing Amazons site I learned to be careful. Even though my search was for AA's the AAA showed up first. What am I suppose to do with 100 AAA batteries?

For years I have been using Costco Kirkland brand AA.

Also for years I would buy a 72 pack for $19.99.

2000 / 72 = 27.78

Recently I needed more. I burn through them with all the testing I do.

Now they offer a 48 pack for $14.99

1500 / 48 = 31.25

This is how big box stores do things.

another example is the Kirkland toilet paper. it was 3x3x5 rolls... then they shaved off an entire layer making it 3x2x5 but did the price drop? NO.
